Uniting Civilian Research and Engineering with Naval Precision for Modern Defense
PIPELINE is an Office of Naval Research supported program that connects you with opportunities to work directly with Penn State researchers and gain exposure to civilian careers in the Navy. Through this program, you’ll collaborate with faculty from Penn State’s College of Engineering and the Applied Research Laboratory, a Navy-Affiliated University Research Center. This hands-on experience will help you understand the impact you can make as a future civilian employee within the Department of Defense.
PIPELINE was an amazing experience for me. I was able to dive research and development, work with interdisciplinary teams, and connect with many amazing engineers. The thing I enjoyed the most was the connections and learning experiences PIPELINE gave me. I learned not only technical topics such as aerodynamics, proper laboratory testing, and project management, but I gained valuable soft skills.
